Hello! I’m Claire.

I am a recent graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in UX Design and a minor in Spanish. Between my undergraduate coursework and an internship at Omnicell, I have three years of experience working on end-to-end collaborative UX design projects ranging from product onboarding to e-commerce. Through my project work, I have experience conducting and utilizing user research and testing, iterative wireframing, prototyping, and creating customer journey maps and user flows using Figma and other tools.

As a designer, I aim to create effective and impactful designs that balance user and business needs. I am seeking a UX Design or UX Research role within an organization where I can contribute, grow, and make a positive impact.

In my spare time, I love reading, art, baking, and travel! Please feel free to reach out to me through Email or LinkedIn!

How I Approach Design

To me, design is a bit like baking or cooking — there are a lot of different methods and many different ingredients to choose from that are each suited to different situations and outcomes. Being equipped with a strong foundation of methods, strategies, and principles to guide my design work helps me to create the best designs for every situation. Below are the key principles that I use to guide my design process.

✦ Continuous Learning

Design and technology are ever-changing and there is always more space to learn and grow. Having this mindset helps me to stay up to date on best practices, new design and research methods, and leads to improved design outcomes!

✦ Balance

I strive to ensure that designs are balanced in all senses of the word: clear and clean UI designs, balancing user needs with business needs, and creating products that deliver positive experiences without being overly complex.

✦ Communication & Empathy

Ensuring good communication and taking the time to empathize both with users and the teams that I work with result in designs that are both well-informed by user needs and have buy-in from fellow designers, engineers, and product teams.
